Member Expeditions
This is what WE members live for – the crazy expeditions to remote parts of West Malaysia, the Arctic, and pretty much any latitude in between. And when I SAY Arctic, I MEAN Arctic – we’re planning a members only trip to the Arctic Circle in December to check out the Northern Lights.
Our tours are FAR more sensational than the stuff we plan for our customers, simply because we’re a hardy breed – look, we’ve washed our own clothes for 2 ENTIRE years and survived living in suitcases for 2 weeks when our parents couldn’t take us home.
PAST TOURS
OCT 04 – PENANG FOOD FEST I
Where it all began. Two young men, Ben and Nicholas, had no way of going home during the short Hari Raya break, merely weeks before the long year-end break…a few phone calls later, Nicholas was backpacking his way to Penang in many backseats, while Ben brought his sister along.

AUG 05 – 11 STATES 5 DAYS
A dream I’d cherished since time immemorial finally came true. Travelling around West Malaysia with 1 backpack and 2 sets of clothes, drying our shirts on the long distance bus to the disgust of, well, everyone present, marooned on a desert(ed) island in Kenyir with marauding pirate ships approaching at night…this was the MOTHER of all trips, and one I will never be able to forget.

- Perlis
- Kuala Terengganu
- Kenyir
- Kuantan
JUN 06 – EXPEDITION TAHAN
Another dream coming to life – a LITTLE larger than life, in fact. Tahan is rumoured to be the hardest mountain in Malaysia, and 64 km of climbing in little more than mud and slosh later, we had to concede defeat to the elements, yet claim victory over the mountain.

JUN 06 – ROUND MALAYSIA IN REVERSE
On the way out of Tahan, many unscheduled detours were made, leaving us revelling at all Malaysia had for its discerning fans…and all of Thailand’s grime and toil encapsulated in 4 hours pressing the flesh of Haadyai.
